In this week’s Employee Spotlight, we’re excited to feature Ageane Reed, Assistant Executive Director at Oak Meadows. Ageane was selected to be highlighted in Ebenezer’s 2025 Impact Report. This series showcases the growth and career opportunities within Ebenezer, celebrating employees who have advanced through the organization while making a meaningful impact on residents’ lives.
Ageane’s path into senior living began almost by accident. While finishing college, a connection led her to Oak Meadows, and she quickly fell in love with the work. “I wasn’t even necessarily looking, but when I came here, it just felt so right, and I was in love with the place,” Ageane recalls. That initial experience sparked a passion for creating meaningful connections with residents and contributing to a supportive community.
Since joining Oak Meadows, Ageane has taken on multiple responsibilities and worn many hats, from stepping in to help with activities to supporting prayer ministry and even marketing efforts. This variety has allowed her to learn and grow in different ways while serving residents and staff alike. “I love the variety in my role. Whether I’m stepping in to help with activities or supporting residents in a new way, it keeps me inspired and connected to what really matters,” she says.
For Ageane, internal growth is essential for building trust with residents and ensuring continuity of care. Her journey demonstrates how staying within the organization can help employees develop skills, gain experience, and create a stronger, more connected team. She believes that the support and encouragement from leadership make it possible for employees to thrive while continuing to positively impact residents’ lives.
