Creativity, Connection, and Lifelong Learning Shine at Ebenezer's 2026 Art Showcase

More than 200 guests gathered at the Ebenezer Home Office Gallery on June 8 for the 2026 Lifelong Learning Art Showcase, a vibrant celebration of creativity, lifelong learning, and resident talent.

The annual event featured artwork created by residents from 15 Ebenezer communities across Minnesota, offering visitors an opportunity to experience the incredible range of artistic expression flourishing throughout our communities. Guests explored a variety of artistic mediums, including drawings, oil paintings, mixed media, basket weaving, and bead art. Each piece reflected the unique perspectives, experiences, and passions of the artists who created them.

The showcase not only highlighted artistic achievement but also celebrated the important role that creativity plays in supporting purpose, self-expression, and lifelong learning.

For many residents, art has become an important part of daily life.

"Art is part of life. Without art, life would be very dull," shared Candy, a resident at Meadow Woods Assisted Living in Bloomington.

Bob, also a resident at Meadow Woods Assisted Living, spoke about the joy art brings him. "Art is my favorite thing to do here! I can look at something and make it better. I like to draw. The Art with Heart program is my favorite."

In addition to viewing resident artwork, guests enjoyed live musical performances by MacPhail Music for Life, whose musicians helped create a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the afternoon. Attendees were also invited to participate in a hands-on creative activity led by Art with Heart, giving visitors the opportunity to experience the joy of artistic expression firsthand.

The event brought together residents, families, team members, donors, and community supporters, creating meaningful opportunities for connection while celebrating the accomplishments of resident artists from across the state.

The Lifelong Learning Art Showcase is made possible through the Ebenezer Foundation and the Ebenezer Lifelong Learning Initiative. Through donor support, residents have opportunities to explore new interests, develop creative skills, engage in enriching experiences, and build meaningful connections with others. Programs such as resident art classes, Art with Heart activities, music experiences, and other lifelong learning opportunities help residents continue to learn, create, and thrive.

Special thanks to our partners at MacPhail Music for Life and Art with Heart for helping make the day such a meaningful and engaging experience for residents and guests alike.

As another successful showcase comes to a close, we extend our gratitude to everyone who attended, participated, and supported this special event. Together, we celebrated not only beautiful artwork, but also the creativity, curiosity, and lifelong learning that continue to inspire our residents every day.
