Honoring the Impact of Social Workers at Ebenezer
At Ebenezer, we are proud to celebrate Social Work Month by recognizing the incredible contributions of our Social Workers. These dedicated professionals play a vital role in supporting residents and families through some of life's most challenging moments. Their work empowers individuals to navigate transitions in care, access resources, and achieve personal growth, making a lasting impact on the lives of those they serve.
Here, we highlight the stories of several of our Social Workers across various Ebenezer locations. Each of them brings a unique perspective, but they all share a deep commitment to our mission of supporting the well-being of older adults and those facing barriers to care.
Fairview Health and Wellness Hub
Michelle E. Schmidt, Director of Social Services
With over 36 years of experience, Michelle has dedicated much of her career to Social Work at Ebenezer. Throughout her journey, she’s built rich, meaningful relationships, including with her "lifers" group—a testament to her longstanding commitment to her work and colleagues. She has seen it all, from the closure of Ebenezer Care Center to the integration of Ebenezer’s mission with Fairview Health and Wellness Hub.
"One of the best parts of working at an organization for over 36 years is all the rich relationships I have benefited from. I’m grateful for the various leaders who’ve lifted me up, asked for my input, and supported me in my role. My passion for this field is driven by the stories of the residents we serve."
