In our rotating Caregiver Spotlight feature, we highlight one of these wonderful, compassionate people. This month we’re speaking with Zee, a Nursing Assistant in the Transitional Care department at Ebenezer Ridges Care Center in Burnsville, where he has been employed for six years.

What led you to become a caregiver, and what motivates you to continue providing exceptional service for seniors?

During a stem cell transplant, I felt that I had the best nurses! I wanted to return the favor to whoever needs it. Though it can be overwhelming at times, I manage to stay ahead.

What do you most appreciate about your Ebenezer community?

Great staff and the ability to work together with aides and nurses to give the greatest care to all residents.

What are some things that make your Ebenezer community special?

Getting to work together with an amazing team, along with the ability to provide care to both young and elderly residents.

What would you tell a prospective caregiver who is considering a position with Ebenezer?

If you enjoy helping others get back to a normal life, a caregiving position should be considered. At the end of the day or shift, you will realize that you’ve made a difference in a resident’s life.
